Eric Newman

Eric Newman is a producer, director and content creator who has a wealth of experience working in basketball, media & production. A life long sports and film enthusiast he has been able to combine his passions to grow a unique career working with the likes of Showtime Sports, ESPN, Turner, Uninterrupted, DraftKings, Bleacher Report, New Balance and Nike. With an array of storytelling interests ranging from sports to social justice, Eric has continued to build a diverse body of unscripted work across a variety of partner platforms. Following the creation of THE RESURGENCE: Demarcus Cousins with Showtime Sports, where he served as an Executive Producer/Associate Director, Eric was chosen to lead the new Showtime Basketball initiative as Executive Producer. Within that role he has lead the launch and build of the highly successfully ALL THE SMOKE digital show with former NBA champion personas Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson. Eric also spent much of 2019 developing the vision and partnership with Kevin Garnett, Blowback Productions and Showtime to create the highly anticipated feature documentary, 'KEVIN GARNETT: ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE', which he is co-directing/producing through 2021.
