Ole Alcumbrac
Dr. Ole Alcumbrac is known as "The Most Interesting Vet in the World" and star of National Geographic's, "The Wild Life of Dr. Ole." He also has television experience as the host of the Outdoor Channel original series "Wild Ops," which highlights his exceptional work as a veterinarian to the wildest and most dangerous animals. Dr. Ole is an Emmy Award recipient for his appearances in several segments of the award winning Arizona Game and Fish Department's "Wildlife Views".
With over 25 years of experience, the self-described "wild man" is known for overseeing several zoological operations, including Arizona's popular wildlife park, Bearizona. He is the owner and Chief of Staff at White Mountain Animal Hospital and also serves as a consulting veterinarian for Departments of the Arizona Game and Fish; the White Mountain Apache Game and Fish; the New Mexico Game and Fish; and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. In addition, Dr. Ole is the lead veterinarian for the Mexican Gray Wolf Recovery Project, the Sonoran Pronghorn Recovery Project and multiple game and non-game species studies.
When Dr. Ole isn't recovering endangered species in the deserts and mountains, he enjoys going to his house south of the Mexican border to scuba dive, fish or just enjoy drinking a margarita on the beach. He is also the proud father of two awesome sons.
