Educated in the fields of psychology, sociology and urban ethnography at Western Washington University, Brooklyn College & The CUNY Graduate center in Manhattan, William has been producing documentary film & television since 2008. As an associate producer William began segment producing episodes of MTV's award winning documentary series True Life; traveling all over the United States learning all the facets of basic pre, pro and post production first hand under the direct tutelage of executive producer Craig D'Entrone. William also shot web content for GQ, produced story arcs for A&E and oversaw a casting push for The Lifetime Channel. In 2011, William released his first feature length documentary film, a music documentary titled, Kill All Redneck Pricks, which he wrote, shot, edited and directed. The film was self-released by William's production company Molasses Manifesto, which sold over 2,500 copies, was screened over 90 times in 10 countries and translated into three languages. The film received many positive reviews including "Excellent" in the San Francisco Bay Guardian and "3 out of 4" stars in The Seattle Times. In 2013, William opened a documentary production and instruction office called, The Documentary Center, for which William wrote all production curriculum. The Documentary Center offered three different courses, had over 70 students in the first two years and averaged a 23% student return rate for 3 or more classes. In 2017, William's second feature documentary film, "Here to be Heard: The Story of The Slits", which he wrote, shot, edited and directed, premiered at the BFI London Film Festival. The film was co-produced with Starcleaner (NYC), Moviehouse (London) & Head Gear Films (London) and so far has received 2 four star reviews and several celebrity endorsements.
