Andrew Bowen
Raised on a steady diet of Marvel Comics, Science Fiction, Musical Theater and Action Movies from the 80's and 90's, Andrew Bowen is a multi-talented actor/writer/director/producer who's infectious passion for cinema, comedy and character-driven storytelling has been the driving force behind his more than two decades of work in the film and television industry. After his hilarious debut as Jack Freemont in Capcom's live-action "Fox Hunt" game, Bowen become a series regular on Fox's comedy series Mad TV (where his impressions of Keanu Reeves and Nic Cage are legendary). Bowen continued to find success as an actor appearing in dozens of TV series, Independent Film and well over 150 national commercials. Bowen has worked with industry legends from Uma Thurman, Gale Anne Hurd (Aliens, The Walking Dead), James Mangold (Logan, Ford VS Ferrari), Lasse Hallström (What's Eating Gilbert Grape) and more. Some notable feature credits include roles in Blumhouse's Holidays, All For Nikki, Conjurer, The Work & The Glory (part 1 and 2) and Rock Jocks. Some TV appearances include Shameless, NCIS, NCIS:LA, Magic City and Leverage. Bowen has lent his considerable voice-over talents to brands like Lexus, Jeep, NAVY and McDonalds - and has been featured in some of the most successful video game titles of all time - including his work as Johnny Cage in WB's hugely popular Mortal Kombat X and MK11. An accomplished screenwriter and director, Bowen's first feature 'Along The Way' (which he wrote, directed and played a supporting role) was a film festival darling and award winner that went on to be released on Netflix in 2008. Bowen got back behind the camera in 2018, making the comedic sci-fi, action-adventure short film 'The 716th'. Written, directed, produced, edited and starring Bowen (who also served as the production designer), The 716th world premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival to audience raves and critical praise. The award winning and wildly entertaining short with its release on Amazon Prime later that year. Not only is the short film still going strong, it was awarded a special bonus from Amazon for audience engagement). In late 2022, Bowen formed Anatomic Pictures with his longtime friends and 716th collaborators Daniel C. Allison (EP) and Jon Alvord (VFX Superviser/Producer). AP is developing a large and dynamic slate of film & TV projects that include Andrew's Christmas action movie 'Decision Height', his male redneck Flashdance comedy 'Don't Fight The Feelin' and an expanded TV series based off their hit 'The 716th'. The first film on AP slate, is a psychological horror thriller Andrew recently completed (that he is also set to direct) titled 'Scent'. Described as a JAWS in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest - the company hopes to be in production on the feature by the fall of 2023.
